Waterfront Streetcar

The Waterfront Streetcar (King County Metro route 99) is a streetcar line that normally runs along part of the Seattle waterfront and a few blocks east to the edge of the International District. It is popular with both tourists and locals and uses restored vintage streetcars (trams) from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

The Waterfront Streetcar is not currently running until a new maintenance base can be built. The former base was be demolished to make way for the new Olympic Sculpture Park that is part of the Seattle Art Museum. In the meantime, a bus, route 99, is being operated along the streetcar route.
